The Justice Department plans to accuse Google of maintaining an illegal monopoly over search and search advertising in a lawsuit to be filed on Tuesday, the government’s most significant legal challenge to a tech company’s market power in a generation, according to officials at the agency who were not authorized to speak on the record.

Google's respond is typical of companies in this position. They point out the positives of their approach to search (and there are some), gloss over or don't even mention some major points of the lawsuits, and then completely ignore the major issue that Google has designed search now to keep people on Googles own web properties and not visit the actual website where the content resides.
