YouTube Tests Letting Creators Sell Ads Directly to Brands

YouTube is running a creator ad sales pilot program to let them sell ads direct to brands.
The pilot program is extremely limited and only works for deals between creators and brands that already have a relationship, Tom Leung, director of product management at YouTube,
According to Google's financial report [webmasterworld.com] Youtube was responsible for 15,249 million dollar revenue, while Google's Network members accounted for 21,547 million. With Youtube alone almost matching the revenue of all other partner programs combined (AdSense, Doubleclick, etc) it's about time that they give the Youtube creators the same type of flexibility in ad serving as to the other partners.
