Congress to empower FTC to monitor A( for bias and discrimination

US senators introduced a bill on Wednesday that will allow the Federal Trade Commission to inspect if corporations are using algorithms that are biased, discriminatory, and insecure.

The bill, known as the Algorithmic Accountability Act of 2019,

While not yet made law ... I suspect this will pass, even in a divided Congress as the tech companies have not been transparent, too many obvious cases of discrimination, and hiding behind Second 230 while doing it.

The winds are changing.
