Guess it was just a matter of time before Google worked with the man who created the Internet.

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore on Monday unveiled his new television network, "Current," which aims to attract younger viewers with short videos and a tie-in with the popular Google Inc. search engine.

In addition to the videos, the new network reached a pact with the search firm to include Google data on the most popular Web searches.

The deal came despite early skepticism from Sergey Brin, a co-founder of Google, the No. 1 Web search engine that earlier this year stepped into the realm of entertainment by releasing a test video search service that pulls up still shots from such content providers as Fox News, PBS and the NBA.

Conveniently, I just moved, and had to deside between carrying my tube or opting for a brand-new LCD TV. Tube I gave away, LCD TV technology is too young, I guess I'll wait 6 months.

Now when I go to someone's house, I can't stand watching TV. 2-hour movie that lasts 4 hours? You gotta really like commercials or REALLY have no other life to sustain it. My hour is worth A LOT more that $4 I pay to rent a movie.
