Many years ago g moved from friendly company to shadowy multinational player. Anything revealed will not be real news as half of the US administration is staffed by ex-googlers who, pretty sure, still retain some fondness for their old job(s). :)

So, the day after the election, I get a MS Win 10 update rendering my PC nearly useless and Google traffic grinds to a halt...a high tech protest to stop all productivity? Nothing would surprise me now. Looks like this is my tinfoil hallucination.
