It seems there's a mole, or the water-born equivalent, that has revealed the secret. It's a showroom with party deck.

A source who has been onboard the vessel, which is moored off San Francisco’s Treasure Island under tight security, told KPIX 5 the first three floors are designed to serve as “dazzling showrooms” that can be outfitted with chrome features and floor lighting. There is an upper “party deck” meant to feature bars, lanais and other comforts so Google can fete its upscale customers.Google's 'Secret' Barge Is A Floating Showroom with Party Deck [sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com]

Wow, all this hoopla over a Google Glass and gadgets showroom for invite only clients. Will the first guests be from the NSA?

Those who embrace Google Glass as the way of the future must assume their responsibility in the privacy erosion taking place. Government and large monopolies working together to achieve a central goal leaves people without a voice and a government without an ear.

Google is under investigation because they may not have pulled the proper permits for the barge to comply with local laws.
