Report: Google Acquires UK Price Comparison Website For $61.5 million [mashable.com]
Google has broken new ground in the personal finance realm with the purchase of UK price comparison website BeatThatQuote for $61.5 million ($37.7 million GBP).

Now, that's an interesting step by Google.

It surely is. I wonder how that makes the current Price Comparison sites feel?

Heh! Google indexed the web and now they are slowly replacing it with their own stuff. There's no taming that 1,600 Pound Gorilla. ;)

I don't know if you've been keeping up with all the latest on this? According to Aaron Wall at SEOBook, Google have now penalized the domain for "numerous nefarious black hat SEO practices."
