Google logo showing Googlle

Today on the Google serps I looked at the logo and saw somethign strange. The usual Google logo was replaced with Googlle. The two "L"'s alsp appear to me a little pixelated. Any ideas whats going on.

The same logo is being used on the homepage. On iGoogle the "i" is missing and it is also Googlle.

Turns out it is Googles 11th birthday. That explains it.

I just like arguing with myself in public, nothing wrong with that is there :)

Its unusual, generaly when Google do anything special with their logo they have a mouseover explination.
