"Over 1.5 million public domain books that have been digitized by Google will be available for purchase from any Espresso Book Machine at bookstores and libraries around the world"

I think this is awesome! Imagine what this does for libraries and small book chains. Space is not even required for storing books.
Of course a lot depends on how much that machine costs. Reuters mentions $75,000, so I don't expect many will take it up yet. And by the time the cost comes down, we might all have cheap ebook readers already.
