NYT: "Ask.com . . . has an advertising deal with Google"

Since when? And is it the model for a Google-Yahoo deal?

"Dictionary.com had about 15 million visitors in March and is growing rapidly. It sells ads on its site, and Mr. Safka said it was profitable, though he won’t discuss any actual numbers. Ask.com, which has an advertising deal with Google, will be able to make more money from the site, he said."

Didn't know about this. Ask.com has only about 4.7% of the market, but was curious when this deal began, and if it's the model for the proposed deal with Yahoo.

Might be easier for Google to buy Ask. They just need to ask.

Heh. Either you haven't searched on Ask for the past five or six years, or those relevant SERPSs you've been clicking on were AdWords ads in disguise. LOL :) For awhile they were showing ten Google Ads before their SERPs. ;)
