Hi, while registtering for my bidder id i noticed many mentions of a brokerage firm and i was wondering if theres an extra step i have to take after acquiring my bidder id in order to bid? Or can i just bid though etrade? Any help would be appreciated.

If I bid, I plan to use Etrade as it is one of the firms listed. I expect that further information will be available in the Google ipo site as well as the Etrade site in a while.
If Etrade is not a part or if it pulls out, we might have to open an account somewhere else.

Dont know why etrade wouldnt be a part of it. But if not, i hear ameritrade is pretty good, though i havent used them myself.
