BEA exec goes to Google

Bosworth was instrumental in creating some major products at BEA, which makes software to manage Web sites and business applications. Most recently, he headed up the company's mobile computing project, called Alchemy. Bosworth joined BEA when Crossgain, a company he co-founded, was bought by BEA in July 2001. "I'm happy to confirm that Adam will be joining Google in a senior engineering role," said David Krane, a spokesman for Mountain View-based Google, which is in the process of going public. He said he wasn't able to give any more specifics.

Hopefully Adam has not been corrupted by the BEA "I used to move SUN boxes for a living" hence I know everything there is to know about open systems culture.

Wonder if this has got anything to do with the speculation that Google will be releasing a phone based product. (Do remember reading about a google phone somewhere)
