Do you use Google as a search engine?
I do. I also use Yahoo. After I was interviewed on [National Public Radio's] Talk of the Nation, I Googled myself, but it didn't come up. When I Yahooed myself, it came up immediately. It took longer for Google to post it.

I had heard of Google in 1988 before most people were aware of it

What a crock of s****

My father won a poker hand in 1968 and exclaimed "YAAHOO" this much popular phrase first invented by my father has been stolen by a popular search engine therefore I think I should be intitled to benefits and inside info on yahoo.com.My great grandfather in an effort to summarise news events of the day famously said "Oh its just macromedia" again his coments from 1930's have been stolen by an internet company and I feel its only fair they pay up. But finally my great grandfather said when his son fell over and cried " boy your not only soft your microsoft" again we were ripped off for the name.

By the same token will the family of Jonathan Swift (who coined the term Yahoo in the 18th Century in "Gulliver's Travels") be claiming entitlement to "Yahoo", even though the guys who founded it said it stood for "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle."? For all we know Google could be an acronym (or an anagram "Go Lego"). In fact, as Google is spelt differently from Googol, it could be argued that it is not the same word.
