site not listed

not listed in MSN and poorly in Yahoo, but good results in google

Hi guys,

I've got a site that does pretty well on Google, but very poorly on Yahoo and is not listed at all in MSN search results.
the msn bot is visiting me often though (172 hits so far this month), so i don't understand why I'm not listed
even if i try "site:www.mydomain.com" i get no results

anyone any ideas why this is?
is it because i don't pay to get lmisted?

MSN.com is not showing results from the MSNbot. The data gathered by the MSNbot was viewable on a preview website (no longer). Eventually when MSN is happy they will replace the Yahoo results which are currently feeding MSN. IF you want to do better in Yahoo and MSN as it exists today, you need to gather links from sites that are in the Yahoo database.

Read some of the posts in this forumn on how to get into MSN (via Yahoo! Search Technology).

Also then read some of the posts regarding how to optimize for Yahoo! Most people are finding that on-site factors are more important in Yahoo! than for Google.
