Hi
I have a website at www.example.org.uk
in my home folder on the ftp, i would like to direct the site so that the sub folder "pits" is looked at as the home folder, and all of the web pages including the index.html can be stored there.
Thanks
Chris

ca7csu,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]!

Thi recent thread [webmasterworld.com] discusses the technique you are looking for. Let us know if it you have any questions with your implementation!

I should note that mod_rewrite does not affect FTP, in case that is important to you. It only affects http access to the site, since ftp is actually a totally different server sharing the same file system with http.
