I am new at this forum and new also
to all:)
I need help
i am try to put this in my web host

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER}!^$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER}!^http://(www\.)?somedomain.com.*$ [NC]
RewriteRule \.(gif¦jpg)$ [somedomain.com...] [R,L]

but i take always error 500
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@dollzbystrega.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

and in my error log come out this:

public_html/.htaccess: Invalid command 'RewriteEngine',
perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server

I have try to upload this htaccess.txt in all places
but always i take the error:(

Can be a problem with my cgi-permission?
What i have to do for make work this code?:)

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com] Strega.

If Apache does not recognize the RewriteEngine directive then mod_rewrite is not available. It needs to be loaded in Apache´s configuration file.

If you run your own server, then follow the instructions in Apache's documentation [httpd.apache.org] to add the mod_rewrite module.

If you pay someone else for web-hosting, then you can ask them to add it. If they won't add it, then you may need to find a better hosting service.
