I signed with [a web host] that advertised you can host multiple domains with one account.

However, they give you no information as to how to do that. Support said "look on the internet"

I'm looking for simple htaccess code to have the domain "example.com" goto a directory called " htdocs/example-com " on the main host.

Thanks

Have you tried coding this yourself? If so, please post your code and describe the problem you're having. And if not, please review our forum charter [webmasterworld.com] for more information and links to useful resources.

The code is rather trivial, but we can't provide code on demand here -- too much demand, too few contributors to support it. Alternately, you may be able to do this with your 'control panel.' Or try a search [google.com].

P.S. The proper response to a host whose help desk replies "Look on the Internet" is "You're fired!" For one thing if they don't know the difference between the Internet and the Web, they need more training. Second, it's just rude. If that indicates their level of support, imagine what happens if your server crashes. There are too many fish in the sea to put up with rotten ones.
