The answer to this question depends on how well you need to "hide" that IP address. You could point your domain name to another machine set up as a proxy server, and then pass those requests to your main machine.

But if you need to hide the server so completely that no-one at all can discover it, then the only way is to delete all the site's files off the hard drive, and unplug the computer from the network... ;) The IP address is the one required piece of information needed to establish a connection to a machine using TCP/IP; so you cannot hide it completely.

My goal is to just disable any person who may want to get my local server id on which my website actually resides.

is it possible? how? thanks :)

Set up a hosting account, and use that server to proxy requests to your private IP. That will work for protection from casual surfers, but there's no way to 'hide' from any serious investigation, since each TCP/IP packet carries IP information along with it.

I searched Anonymous Proxy Server for this purpose but I want to do it for free and I think the Anonymous Proxy Servers that are free would have more chances for storing my the information that comes in and go out from my website and also their downtime would be another issue.

do you know any Anonymous Proxy Server that is free, reliable and have a good uptime?

thanks

Sorry, you're thinking of proxies used by your visitors. You need a proxy for use by your server, not your visitors.

I know of no 'free' solution to this problem, unless you can get someone else (a friend or associate) to provide the proxy function for you.
