Serving .exe to IE with a Query String

Hey all,

I am trying to serve an exe with a query string at the end for tracking purposes. Problem is on IE 6+ the exe is not being recoqnised and instead being served as having no extension. When I drop the query string it works fine.

Can anyone suggest a workaround for this?
