Hi All,
I really need help finding out whether it is possible to have multiple domains on a server within a private network resove from the Internet.
For example, setting DNS to point to the IP of the ASDL router, then setting the router to redirect all packets to an internal IP address 192.168.1.10.
Will the Router pass the packets required to read what virtual host (via the domain name ) is required? At the moment I have the router direct packets to the internal IP but every domain links to the document root.

Will I have to buy an IP range to solve this?
Thanx in advance
Giz

It is very possible to do what you have suggested. You can have many domains on a single IP.

Adding virtual hosts allows you to set up various domains and simply alter your DNS to point to the servers internet IP address. The Virtual host will then be set up to accept requests for a specific domain.

I have used a set-up like this in the past, one server one router an one IP and it all worked well.
