We have an internet site, hosted between 2 servers. The 1 server that handles our password-protected dynamic content and e-commerce is the server that we also want our intranet on. Our intranet will have a similar-but-different authentication system on it, based on the fact that it's not internet wide, but, in fact, a closed network intranet, and there will be some additional access for management.
My question is, is it more appropriate in this case to go with a name-based virtual host or an IP-based virtual host?
