Exim Mail Server

552 Message size exceeds maximum permitted

Would appreciate help with this one! I run a dedicated server, running exim mail server. Unfortunately, messages with attachments over 5m in size are bounced with the following message:

552 Message size exceeds maximum permitted

I've taken a look at exim.conf etc... and cannot see this defined anywhere - perhaps it is a default?!

Does anybody know where I can change this to 10m max, for example?

Hi shady,

I don't use Exim so I'm not sure if the following is correct

Check in exim.conf and see if you have
message_size_limit 5M

Change 5M to 10M and restart Exim.
