Complex(?) htaccess domain rewrite.

Want to exclude some things from redirecting

I am trying to redirect domain.com to www.domain.com but every time I use the htaccess ones I find, it messes up one of my subdirectories and some of my image references.

Is there a way I can redirect domain.com to www.domain.com but exclude gif, jpg, png files and the /exdirectory/ directory from redirecting?

Thanks.

Yes, use RewriteCond to exclude the resources you do not wish to rewrite or redirect.

For more information, see the documents cited in our forum charter [webmasterworld.com] and the tutorials in the Apache forum section of the WebmasterWorld library [webmasterworld.com].
