Hi All,
I have finally set up Apache for the first time. It's cool to finally be able to have a webserver. I have one problem, I can't access my site from the computer at work. Everyone else seems to be able to access my website ok. I can access it at home, no problems.
Do you think it is a problem with my work PC or my Apache set up on my server?

Thanks
Cheryl

Is your web server running on computer at work from which you can't access the site?

The web server is on a separate PC to itself at my home. People tell me thay can access the site ok I can access it anywhere but from my pc at work.
I have no trouble getting other websites at work. That's why I don't understand this.

Thanks
Cheryl

If others report no problems accessing your server, then it's unlikely to be an Apache problem.

Can you access your server from other computers at work?
Are you behind a corporate firewall at work?
What error message(s) do you get when you try to access your server from work?

There are many things that could be causing a problem. Your home ISP might even be blocking your work IP address range, for example. By trying different test, you should be able to narrow down the possibilities, and then work with the people at whichever 'node' is the problem to get it working.

What exactly do you mean with you can not access your site. Is an error message shown and if yes which. Or does the website simply not load and the connection is timed out?

Is your IP static or dynamic? Perhaps your company has some sort of filtering software?
