Hi all,

We are working on a website where we will be creating subdomains and each subdomain will have its own address like
for eg: [subdomain.maindomain.com...] or [subdomain.maindomain.com...]

I tried various options posted in the various forums of how to redirect using .htaccess file, but it is not working. I may be doing something wrong.

The root directory path is /home/httpd/vhosts/maindomain.com/httpdocs/

We will be creating subdomains in
/home/httpd/vhosts/maindomain.com/httpdocs/subdomain/ like that.

How can I make sure that when a user types in
[subdomain.maindomain.com...] or [subdomain.maindomain.com...] the user is taken to the site.

Can anyone give an simple example.

Thank You.
Regards,
Jay Chandran

Sorry, my error. Instead of posting here I deleted it and started my own thread rather than piggy-back on to yours.

Good luck.
