New at playing with a server

I have had a dedicated server for years, it has neverhad my interest, but now my SQL and email dont work, so I have to free some space.

Here I got this from my hosting:

I dont understand anything here, I dont think I can do this with PLESK, but what other options is there.

Damn Im going nuts here, the plant just say use putty software, what shall I do there and when I try to login, type user and password it goes away.

Having no idea what is in your subdirectories, or what putty software is, I'm afraid I cannot offer any useful advice. Please post some more information to define your questions more exactly, so that members can figure out what you need.

You can get Putty here:

That will give you command-line access to your server.

You seem to suggest that your problem is with /usr and /home. The former is where your applications are stored, the latter is for your data. However, as Jim said, without know what is stored there (in particular in your home directory), it is impossible to suggest what to delete.

A good place to start looking for stuff to delete is /home/username/mail just deleted a ton of spam myself that had built up over the years to info@ webmaster@ etc etc
