i have installed apache as the default web server as it came with some cctv viewing software i bought online. my problem is this: i can view the images across the lan with the viewing software through a password protected product, therefor i know the system functions ok.i can ping my address and can also forward my incoming connections through my adsl router as i have also set remote desktop to try and get round my connection issue, this also works ok, (but comes up with an overlap error message).what is happening is i get an error message generated from the system saying that the password does not match.my question is this, does apache direct the connection to a password internal to itself before forwarding onto the cctv software? or is there a field i need to fill in on the dial in machine connection apache software first.sorry if this sounds dumb but i know nothing about apache and the tech help from the product people is non existant!
