Hi:

i) I've two domains: domain1.com and domain2.com

ii) domain2.com is an addon domain on my SHARED SERVER.

iii) I ask to the administrators of my SHARED SERVER for setting *.domain2.com (* is any subdomain and domain2.com is a addon domain) And they say than recreate the DNS wildcards, but after various e-mails it is still not functioning.

iv) I use Cpanel for controlling addon and subdomains.

Question:
---------
It's so hard to do what I ask them? They manage httpd.conf!

Thanks
Igor.-

No, it's not hard, but there are two steps:
1) Set up the server to accept wild-card domains (*.domain.tld) and handle them correctly.
2) Set up your DNS records to point wild-card domains to your server's IP address.

Both steps must be done before it will work.
