network drive access

Hello.

I have installed Apache on a Windows XP SP2 OS. I mapped a network drive and I configured apache for giving user access on it. Everything seems to work fine except the fact that the access on the network drive is very slow while using the Windows Explorer I don't have any delay.

Can anyone help me, please?
