hey there guys,

i have a serious problem and i have no clue how to solve it..

i host around 500 forums, all on subdomains. let's say i host them on the domain: domain.com. now i have to change the domain to whatever.com.

i want to redirect a visitor (and google) automaticly to the new domain, so let's say if i type in bla.domain.com it should go to bla.whatever.com, so whatever get's typed in should redirect with 301 to the new domain.

help is really appreciated!

p00lie,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

To get started, please review our forum charter [webmasterworld.com]. This will help you to make the most of this forum. It also includes some links to resources that you may need to use to solve the problem.

Your problem can be solved by using mod_rewrite in .htaccess or by changes to your httpd.conf server configuration file. You'll need to let us know which methods you can use (or prefer) on your server to begin.
