Hello! Me and another guy is going to build a server PC to run apache, but we are not sure about how much ram that's required? Will 256 DDR-Dimm PC2700 be enough? The processor will be Intel Celeron D 320 2.4 GHz.
Thanks.

It all depends on usage patterns and what addons to Apache you going to have -- RAM is cheap these days and there is no point having less than 512Mb in a server -- another 256MB RAM chip could be your best additional spend on server.

Agreed, it is all about use.
But, if it is a production server and you are running more than just tests on it I would not put together anything with less than 1GB.
I run 1.5 GB on mine (RH/Apache/Zope/Mail/etc) and that has worked out great.

Ram, cheap? I live in Norway, ram is expensive here this year.
I think i'm going to run EasyPHP, because PHP is a must.
