Welcome to WebmasterWorld, ApacheUser.

What else? PHP I guess if you are running PHP scripts ;)

The Apache [apache.org] site is a good place to start learning the server ...

ApacheUser,

I don't mean to be cruel, but from your questions it sounds to me like you're asking "how do I become a sysadmin?".

How much time did your manager give you? Because if you're starting from scratch.. well, you're not starting from scratch are you?

If you are, I would suggest your company goes for another hosting service, or hire/rent someone who knows apache. Sure, you can learn it, but you need time, and lots of it.

However, simply installing and setting up apache to just work is easy, but would you know how to maintain it and keep it secure? If you're still just interested in getting it up and running, there should be tons of good how-to's out there, try a google on "how to install apache" etc. and like coopster said, the apache site is definitely a good place to learn. :)
