I'm new to the "server" world, but i've got a box running Windows 2000 that i want to make a file and webserver out of. as far as the webserver, i was obviously thinking Apache, is that what you'd all recommend? How about to run the file server? i have a few friends i'd like to give access only to certain folders, so what should i use? i've tried looking at some things, but i want to get the opinions of people that have actually used it.
