Apache and MS Visual Interdev

I am using apache server on my desktop and not IIS. For some reason when I try to create a new project or open a current project the server wont work. I try localhost, 8080 and computers name along with trying apache2 inserver but is just says cant contact web server. \
Can anybody please help?

Welcome to the boards, fleart1.

You will have to give more info in order for anyone to help. Here are a few questions that come to mind:

1. What operating system(Win or *nix)?
   
2. Have you ever had it(Apache) running correctly, or did you just install it?
   
3. Have you edited your Apache config file?
   
4. Probably a dumb question but, are you sure you started Apache before you tried to access it?
   

Shoot us some more detailed info and you should be up and running in no time!

Hi,
I am using Win2000 and PHP. I got the server and PHP to work somehow. NOw I have PHP but get login error when I try o to open my PP web on my desktop. Know anything about that? Also, someone told me that my ASP wont work with apache server only IIS. I have visual Interdev and wanted to open files with apache.
