Allowing IP range

I have totally forgotten how to do this. I want to allow the (otherwise blocked by UA) IP range:

216.**.244.128 - 216.**.244.255

Is this correct?

RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^216.**.244.(1-2)(2-5)([8-9]¦[0-5])$

Try, this:

RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^216\.**\.244\.(12[89]¦1[3-9][0-9]¦2[0-4][0-9]¦25[0-5])$

or, a shorter, less-precise version:

RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^216\.**\.244\.(12[89]¦1[3-9][0-9]¦2[0-5][0-9])$

Likewise would: 217.***.152.0 - 217.194.153.255

condense to: 217\.***\.15[2-3]\.

217\.***\.15[23]\.

Either is fine; There is no need to specify a range ( [2-3] ) when the numbers are consecutive ( [23] ), and [23] is shorter.
