htaccess question for server software Zeus/3.4

I need toinstall a script on a website wish is not running unix or linux here are server details:

Operating system= solaris
Kernel= 5.8
Machine= sun4u
Processor type= sparc
Server software= Zeus/3.4
HTTP accept = */*
Perl version= 5.006
Mail program= /usr/lib/sendmail

Perl libraries installed
Library CGI v2.56 installed
The library mod_perl is not installed <------ is missing!
Library www-perl v5.48 installed
Library DBI v1.14 installed
Library DBD::mysql v2.0415 installed
Library URI v1.09 installed
The library Apache is not installed<------ is missing!
Library Digest::MD5 v2.12 installed
The library Crypt::SSLeay is not installed

my question is most parts of the script is working
even if apache is not installed...
the server supports .htaccess file.
but it aint support mod rewrite like this

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^\robots.txt$ /cgi-bin/botkiller.cgi [L,T=application/x-httpd-cgi]

i get a 404 error ..
is there a otherway for code line doing the same compatable with this server ..
or should i recommand the owner to install some extra apache modulle or mod rewrite or is this totally not posible?

the scripts works but requires few mod rewrite lines in the htaccess file toget activated

wish now fail

I think I know this hosting company (I won't advertise them here, but are their company initials Y-S?). If so, you should try their members forum at members dot <companyname> dot com - there are a few perl experts there who should be able to help you regarding this company's rather unique setup.

If not, you obviously won't get mod_perl or mod_rewrite, as they are Apache modules, and have nothing to do with Zeus. Zeus only has very limited .htaccess capabilities. Without mod_rewrite or RedirectMatch, you're left with working something out with just Redirect.

PS. Solaris is Sun Microsystem's version of UNIX.

well i think its not good Zeus .. not at all its very limitted compaired to apache serversoftware nothing is as powerfull as mod_rewrite modulle for apache ...

its all most lol the above urls refers me topage with a 3 line perscript that should replace the complete mod_rewrite heheh its only print url hehehe

i have told the person i cannot install script on this very limmited system

i recommand him unix or linux with apache frebds or red her not silly zues
