Man, I should know better than to screw around with files when I don't really know what I'm doing! After reading all of the praises about SSI's and such I decided that it was time I implemented them.

So, I read that I need to add an .htaccess file to my main directory (where my main site files reside). So, I tried doing that and included the appropriate lines that tells the server to parse SSI). To make a long story short, I uploaded the .htaccess file to my server and now when I try to bring up my site I get an "Internal Server Error"...ouch! I can't even get access to my site manager to change/correct the problem. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm desparate here. The learning curve is steep....Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Dave.

Upload a blank file using FTP and rename to .htaccess

If you can't do the above, you may need to contact your host to delete the file.
