I am looking to setup up dynamic sumdomains via mod_vhost_alias or mod_rewrite and want to enforce throttling for each via mod_throttle. Can this be done or do I need to create a separate vhost for each subdomain?
If I need to use a separate vhost for each subdomain I could use some suggestion w/ scaling and apache reload issues across mulitple load balanced servers. What is the most common practice that larger ISP's use?
