Installing mod-rewrite

I have searched and searched and not found, so I'm bringing the problem to the gurus. Please help.

I've set up a production system at home (Apache, PHP, mySQL) for working on projects. I really need to get mod_rewrite running on the Apache server (WIN) but it is not there. It was my understanding that mod_rewrite was built into Apache starting with v1.3. I've got 1.3.31, so what gives? I ran apache-l from the command line and it definitely is not there, despite the fact that I uncommented the LoadModule and AddModule for it in httpd.conf.

Am I missing something here? I sintalled Apache with the compiled Win binary (the installer), could that be the problem?

I think i forgot to actually ask a question...

Is it possible to download and install mod_rewrite on an Apache installed from the binary? Where would I find the download?

Or, is there someway of activating mod_rewrite in the current install that I'm missing?
