I was wondering if it's possible to install Apache on a Win 98 machine? I was able to, without a hitch, install it on a machine running Win XP. However, although the installation on a Win 98 machine worked fine, no services has been installed. When I open the Apache Server Monitor, there are no Services installed.

What would be the possible cause for this and how do I resolve it?

Thanks again for the help and keep up the good work.

Yes. I have Apache2 installed on my Windows 98 machine.

The way I start apache is to run: C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\bin\Apache.exe

If I remember correctly (I'm using Linux now :) ) you can start apache in console by going to: Start > Programs > Apache HTTP Server > Start Apache in Console.

Hope this helps,
Elijah

You can also try EasyPHP 1.6 (I don't know if with 1.7 everything works with Win98)
