Remote Image Linking

Noticed earlier today, that a site with much more traffic than mine was linking to an entire page worths of images from my website, and had copied most of the text from my web page to surround them. Remembering that this had been discussed recently I googled webmasterworld for a solution using mod_rewrite.

[webmasterworld.com...] msg3 gave the perfect answer, and I quickly created a stop sign image to display instead.

While out at a meeting, I realised that it could be an advertising opportunity I was missing, so I quickly produced an adwords look-a-like image, with the web address clearly visible, and replaced the stop sign with this.

Why waste an opportunity just because someone is trying to steal your bandwidth :-)
