This is despite about the same number of visitors and nearly same clicks. And this is consistent since last 7 days. I don’t know why but may be a problem in smart pricing algo ;-)

It is still the same on 9th day.

It's the same for me. One day I see good earnings while the next they drop by more than 75% while the rest of the stats are the same. It's been like this all of last week while before that the earnings were the same over a week or so. Did Google change something?

Same for me, very strange numbers I am seeing.

I usually do from $100 to $135 a day.

Its been jumping all over $65 one day, $112 the next, $107 the next, then $87 the next, then $81 then back up to $104 again.

My number of clicks, CTR and views are all in the same ball park.

Something strage is going on at adsense.

For me it has happened from Sep 30th. EPC has gone down by 35 - 40 %. :-(

My AS earnings have tanked this month. Down about 40%. CTR has plummeted because ad relevancy has more or less disappeared on many pages. EPC is actually up about 1 penny, but with several hundred fewer clicks every day, it doesn't really matter. Something is definitely strange at Google.

We took a hit on Sep 22nd. EPC has gone down by 45 - 55 %.

Same situtation for us. It seemed to coincide with changes we made to the alternate ads section of the code, seems that google enters into some default ad delivery mode until they can spider all 1M pages again :(... These hiccups also seem to affect certain groups and not others, suggesting that we are on distinct sets of servers where they try different testing routines on different servers at different times. Things have started to stabilize again over the past few days, but the last week was brutal...

My October EPC and eCPM are down about 5% from September, which is better than I would have expected for a leisure-travel site that's heading into the slowest season of the year.

I've been seeing the same kind of thing. My traffic is increasing yet my monthly earnings have been almost identical. Strange. I should say, however, I've only been doing this for a few months now.

I wonder if they are testing some new fraud detection scheme. Maybe they serve irrelevant ads from time to time to see if they show a similar click through pattern.

I've had 2 crappy days but it happens, bad ads and CTR down a bit.

Disney has a new movie coming out Nov. 4th about this phenomena entitled "Chicken Little"

Fluctuated between $195 and $98 (per day) this month! Very strange.

Awful, inconsistent, and about 25 percent down. Started begining of month. Seems like bad targeting. Been killing loads of crap non related ads.

This has been a crappy month for me.

Last month was like a gold mine.

It's fluctuating like crazy with my highest day to lowest day this month so far at 2.32:1 and that was Tuesday and Friday of last week!

Something happed on Thursday 13th October, I don't know what however my stats have looked askew ever since, until that date my worst was at 1.52:1.

Something is very funky here as well. Wild fluctuates that I haven't seen since I first started with Adsense and was doing alot of testing. A record high day, followed by a record low(in last 2 months) day.

I second this, Saturday 15th was extremely low (even compared to other Saturdays before), while Sunday 16th was a new record high for me. Now it has returned to "about normal" as far as I can see.

Not a very good month up to the 13th, about half of what we normally see, but on the 13th, double normal and has stayed there since.

Not complaining, mind you... this past 30 days has just been all over the place, not as smooth as 'normal' (or what passes for 'normal').

Adds a little bit of interesting to the day.

Today started out with very low EPC but now seems to be creeping up. Usually it starts high and drops throughout the day.

I've had similar experience - October 13 was my all time high, and October 14 there was a huge drop.

Actually, I did start a thread last Friday questioning what was happening:

[webmasterworld.com...]

There are too many coincidences here and no one is saying a thing!

Let's open a book on what they could possibly be doing:-)

For me Adlinks is fluctuating more than my ad block on my main directory site with over 50% difference from one day to the next, ostensibly the same Adlinks on satellite sites are remaining steady at good levels.

One site we have we removed the Adlinks on Saturday and it had a cracking weekend and Monday its best day of the month!

Therefore my guess is an Adlinks alteration may be imminent amongst whatever else!.

My adlinks are the main problem too. The same thing, half what they normally earn on some days. But, also, just in certain areas, some of the adlinks are holding up. I removed a bunch of adlinks this morning from areas of my main site that get low quality visitors(free stuff areas) and pulled them off my dynamic pages which also were having some very bad days, adlinks were actually dragging down the other ad position(I recently place them there and I think I put them too close together).

Other than adlinks, the other area that has been having it's bad days is the top ad position on a page that has 2 ad spots, above the fold and below the fold. Stats on the below the fold are steady, stats above the fold are fluctuating quite a bit(but not as bad as the adlinks fluctuations).

Has anyone else narrowed down which ads are fluctuating and which are not?

I have not changed anything on my site. I am wondering whether it has to do anything with recent google search update? Although i have the same traffic from google.

There is CLEARLY something going on at Google, and it ain't good. After many months of very stable stats, Oct. has gone bonkers. The AS ad targeting is like a roller coaster, whereas before Oct. it was steady and impressively on target. They better fix it, and quick, or they stand to lose out to YPN when it gets through the beta phase.
