3 months ago, I told a friend about Adsense. He has a site about stock with nearly 10,000 pageviews per day but it's in Vietnamese. Last week, he decided to apply and hasn't been accepted. The reason is: Unsupported Language. He asked me for help but I'm not sure about my Adsense knowledge (I no longer stay update with Adsense policy). Now I have 2 questions:

1. Is it ok if my friend adds the English part into the current site and resubmit?

2. Is it ok if he supply Google Adsense a totally new small site with English contents and then add Adsense code into the Vietnamese site (which is larger)?

Thanks in advance.

Hallo Thieu_iot,
Currently Vietnamese is not accepted on Adsense and my guess b4 Vietnamese would be accepted, Adsense may first add other languages such as Hebrew, Big5 Chinese, Bahasa, etc.

Ask your friend to translate their pages, databases etc. in English and then re-apply.

Just my 2 dongs

I dig this topic because the update points in Google Adsense policies.

As I wrote in the first post of topic, my friend has been rejected for unsupported language reason. He and I translated a huge part of the site from Vietnamese into English as well as invited some new members who use English. Then, he re-applied and has been accepted. The GA code was implemented into the web. But the problem is... the Vietnamese part are in the same page with the English one with the same skin so that there are articles or posts in Vietnamese with Google Adsense banner above. GA's new policies don't accept that. My friend told me that he couldn't divide them into seperate part (the web is .php one and he added code into wrappers). Now I don't know how to advice him. He worries and wonders whether the account would be disabled or not. What can we do know?

Thanks in advance.

quite simply he will be banned. The language is not supported, I suspect, because they have no ads for them in that language.

either remove it or go with adsense for search which is allowed until such time as Google recognizes that language.

I would not risk losing an account which could bring him much money when it is supported.

Please forgive me If I have misled you.

Here are the unsupported languages that you may use the adsense for search on....no others:

In addition, AdSense for search is available in Croatian, Czech, Slovak, and Traditional Chinese. These languages are not supported for AdSense for content pages.

I would simply remove ALL adsense and just wait until your language is supported.

Thank you, I just told him and explained as much as I can. The code will be removed before tomorrow morning and then a new business week without Google Adsense. And one more question from him, what would they (Google) do with the account if the code is added into no site?

Probably nothing, if it is dropped for inactivity he can still reapply. He cannot ever get back in if he gets banned.

My friend removed the code, a bit disappointed. I hope Google Adsense can support Vietnamese soon.

By the way, about my old topic "Payment after disabling" you've replied, the check I received after disabling has been cashed out today. Thank you very much for your kind, Ann.
