With epc and ecpm going down the drain, I am now opeing myself to a test, risking removign adsense from my main site for a week or so.

In the meantime, I shall experment with chikita and a few more.

I shall keep it posted here.

I have been falling down from AdSense since a few months now, and this worries me.

I hope my move doesnt fall back on my face.

Have anyone of you have tried keeping adsense ads absent from yoru site for sometime and then putting it back? DOes it have any effect? Posetive or negetive?

The only thing I've had luck with in terms of improving my earnings, was to implement the ad section targeting.

Would you be willing to provide some additional information during your tests?

1.) Has your traffic source been consistent?
2.) Have you used ad section targeting?
3.) Has the appearance of your ads changed at all?

My traffic source is genrally search engine traffic, all natural. There has been no major variation is traffic.

The ads shown by google adsense are perfectly targeted, even without section targetting.

Just that I am not even earnign half of what I was earning three months ago.

I will keep on posting the results on a daily basis

actually, my traffic is almost 80% american and natural seach engine traffic, so i guess i can give a try for a week.

I've been testing out Chitika for a few weeks now and the results have been very positive. For me, the ads work best on pages with information about specific products or product themes, where you configure the ads to display information about that product.

You may be on the right track. I have a site with consistant traffic, I rotate adsense and YPN ads every time the google cpm goes down. Sure enough it comes back for a few days after removing and using YPN instead.

I've tried YPN, and while the EPC was good during the limited testing the CTR was lousy. Has anyone noticed if this improves over time or not with YPN?

Someone did this and posted about their results not too long ago, totally whacked AdSense, they were in worse shape than ever before.

I've been in software before most of you even knew what software was (many of you still in diapers or not even a zygote yet) and the one thing I can tell you is the 1.0 version of ANYTHING will have a boatload of problems.

If you want to try YPN 1.0 then go ahead but I think YPN 1.1 will be the real deal.
