I have applied for google adsense. But i haven't received any response from google regarding the status of my application even after 10 days. The follow up email has also been not answered.

Does anyone here have any idea how long does it take for a new application to get reviewed by google for adsense?

That does seem like a long time. Are you sure your email filter is not blocking their email?

Iam sure my email filter is not blocking their email. When i filled the application, i received their email to confirm the email ID.

Two weeks? When was that?
I applied 3 days ago and was approved in 30 minutes. I'm serious, I'm not kidding

I had applied 2-3 months back and got accepted within a few hours.

BTW, is it possible to apply and be accepted with a brand new site, still sandboxed and with very little traffic?
The reason I'm asking is that I wouldn't want the users to notice that the site layout is suddenly "switching to commercial".
I would prefer my site with ads right from the begining, even if I don't get much money from it.

Email them once again providing a secondary email address with a different domain/ISP if possible. Even if you get the first one, subsequent emails could be filtered out. 2 weeks is an unusually long time to wait.
