Hello ppl , i`m writing you because i`m quite scared . Last days i had an argue with a guy. And this guy, to revenge, told me he`ll mass-click on the G-Ads of my website . I`m scared because this is a veeery high risk for me of beeing disabled on G-ads and also desperate because i already know how it`s like ot be disabled. :(

i`m in the G-ads network for oven 1 year and had some problems in the begining but since then i did not had any problem.

I`ve banned that guy`s possible ip`s (his home ip and few known ip's) but there are millions of i-cafe here and this is not a very good ideea.

What do you teach me? What should i do?

thank you and sorry for my english

First of all, he could use any of the thousands of open HTTP proxies that work, so banning his IPs will get you nowhere unless he's a complete moron who doesn't know about this.

When I first heard about this ("Somebody is clicking my ads! Oh, no!"), which wasn't long ago, I laughed at it. Now, I'm starting to understand that it might be scary for the one being "attacked".

I would e-mail Google, explaining exactly what he said, possibly quoting his exact words.

I would also tell them that you will monitor your stats and let them know when or if this attack happens. That way they are prepared in advance and you have protected yourself.

Hello: You could also remove all the adsense code from your site for a few days untill this person chills out a bit.

You could also sit him down and have a serious chat. Amazing what two grown ups can achieve when they really put their mind to it.

Seriously, he's in the same game as you, why not do something together or at least agree not to acknowledge each others existence. Feuds are a waste of time especially with things like adsense involved.

thank you guys , i`m happy you responded and gave me a little trust. I`ll just monitor my adsense and if it happens i`ll send an email to google.
This is the last time i`m telling about my website . These days ppl are bad ... veeery bad

you have to tell Google now, not after it happens. when it happens, Google will block you and they won't care for your story anymore.

Also, lie about calling the police and sending in abuse reports to ISPs, etc.

Everybody does that all the time, so why shouldn't you? If nothing else, they'll get a little scared.

I noticed a click attack by someone. I was developing NEW sites and he was the only one who knew the addresses.

I think he did about 50 clicks on a handful of pages. I removed the code from the pages and wrote to google. They agreed with me that they were fraudulent clicks and took some money back from my account.

They did reasure me that there systems would have picked it up, and that I did not need to write to them. However I slept that night

Sense_able: Disable access from anyone but 127.0.0.1 when developing. That way, you don't need to worry about referers and copying and pasting your secret project on IRC or whatever.

It`s not about a development website , it`s about an website that already is opened to the public. Anyway .. i did not noticed any attack after i`ve banned his possible ips . I hope this issue remains like this
Anyway ... be sure that everything happens i`ll post here the status
