Dip In Earnings For September

Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm still getting the same amount of traffic, and the same pages are being displayed, but my earning have dipped about 30-40% since the end of August.

I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this too, and also if this could just be an isolated result of something like smart pricing.

Things have settled down for me after the wild ride from August. Yesterday, second best ever. In general, things look a lot more targetted, click amounts going up, CTR stable, so it could be anything in your case.

Too many variables...

The opposite. The first week of Sept. WAS down from August, but then the US was contending with a major natural disaster AND Labor Day Weekend.... This week so far is right back up to, or slightly above, the very good levels of July and August.

Thanks for replying. It's good to know. Hopefully my revs will pick up soon too.

today is winding down and it is my best day this month!

I found a scum bag that was using my mainbookmark.js to bookmark their site instead of mine but still used my name so people bookmarking it would not notice! They must have just done it because the recovery is fairly swift. I replaced it with an on the page scriptlet.

Removed that script from my site 2 days ago and find my traffic and earnings are back up. Repeat visitors is a big part of my traffic and a lot of people have bookmarked me.

If you want the domain name just sticky me.

If you use it, check to see where the bookmark actually goes.

My best was August so I decided to double my traffic thru adwords at the start of this month, I'm having the same ctr but 60% cut in cpc. The result is dismaying so I cut my traffic again today to half, hoping the previous cpc returns.

September began reaaaally bad (down 50%) which came as a surprise to me because the site typically gets just about 30-35% of the traffic from the U.S. - now it seems to pick up again. The last few days were almost back to pre-10th-August standards. What a relief! :-)

There are so many variables to deal with. b.e. a traditional holiday-site will drop after August. For general business (in Europe) September is a bad month because : 1. school starts and people need money for kids (exept in this branch of course). 2. People spent their money on holidays. 3. for now : people need all their money for (too) expensove gas.
