Simple. Take some open source browser like Firefox, create a few skins with "industrial" designs (lots of cogs and things like that) and offer them for free download on your site. Hey presto, the next time people who download them visit your site, that will mean traffic from industry-related browsers. (cue canned laughter).
On a more constructive note, I hear scientists are developing genetically modified trees whose leaves have the form and shape of genuine dollar notes. I've put my name down on the preorder list so I can cut out this whole troublesome business of actually earning money.

True, but they only grow if you plant a few 100 dollar bills with no even numbers at midnight during full moon.

I increased my traffic from 50 visitors a day to over 650 visitors a day in less than a week. My adsense is getting between $30 to $40 a day. I know that doing what I am doing now will easily put me to over 1,000 visitors a day before the end of this month.
It's not spam, not email, not articles, not a free content site, not bloggs, all legit. It is free, it is simple. Just has to be done regularly. Takes about 1 hour a week, now that I have the steps in place and have specifically targeted the best ones.
But I suppose you all have too much traffic to worry about sharing how to increase it, I would have gladly shared what I know if there was something worthwhile being shared back to me.
My adsense adds are displayed about 2,000 times a day, I get between 100 to 200 hundred clicks a day on those adds, and the page eCPM is usually around the $20 mark.
I suppose no one wants to know or share something of equal value. If you do I can provide screen dumps of awstats to prove what I have said. That's if you can share something too.
I would have gladly shared what I know if there was something worthwhile being shared back to me.

I have nothing magic to contribute, I did it the hard way with probably ten thousand natural backlinks and all organic SERPs evolving over 7 years that drive about half a million visitors to my site each month.

There is a forum for Commercial Exchange - this forum is not a suitable place for such attempted deals.
First you are ordering us to give us our trade secrets: "Your mission is to tell me how to increase traffic." And you told us yourself you were in need of a method to "increase traffic by a few hundred visits a day or more".
And now you are telling us that you already have knowledge of a way to increase your traffic as desired in you first post, and because of our funny posts (some actually were rather funny) you will not share this with us.
Anybody out there believin' this?

And to get back on topic, my 'get rich quick and easy' scheme is this:
- join a forum, such as WW Adsense
- pretend you already have a get rich quick and easy scheme
- tell others you'll share it if they tell their ideas first
- listen to their ideas and nick the best ones
In reality, this won't make you rich. But it will start an amusing thread and make it difficult for people to take you seriously in future.
Perhaps I could take this opportunity to express thanks to the many forum members who share their expertise and experience without requiring anything from others first.

on another note I have only been using adsence for about 7 weeks.
I get around 3,500 uniques a day and I earn an average of $65 a day.
My site has been here for 5 years and is popular for one main reason I suppose, everything is free.
phone wallpaper, ringtones etc and it has been free for the last 5 years.
I have worked real hard on it and didnt even think I would earn what I do with the adsence on it (wish I had done it years ago)
so my BIG secret is give it away for free
simple as that
I am feeling generous so I will share my big secret for increasing traffic(slowly, but it's free):
Word-of-mouse advertising.
Like the last poster mentioned, first make a site where everything is free. Then, wait for people to start telling their friends about your site. It works!

That's right Flaxmac- people are looking to spend their money and you want to find a way to show them where and how.

I have not forgotten! But, consider this... offer free instructions on how to complete a project, make sure the supplies needed for that project are expensive... then Google shows ads for the supplies.

I haven't forgotten that rule either....many things can be cheap and free but I don't think the items to give my readers (of the new site)

could be in that category. Most are very high priced, just not expenseve...:)
