Ok, I will admit i am a noob in this area. But If you have ads on your page, don't you get paid for everytime someone clicks on one of thise links. Can't I just work on getting links on my site with the higer payouts, then just go to other computers and go to my site and click the links? Im sure someone has thought of this but doesn't this just seem too obvious? Please let me know if there is a reason this won't work.

First of all welcome to WW.

The first thing you REALLY need to do is read all the past threads starting with "I clicked on my ads" or "I have just been banned by AdSense"

When you have read all these threads come on back here with any questions you may have.

Welcome (I think).

Sure it would work for a while... why don't you put on a mask and go down to the local bank and rob it. You would get a much bigger pay back much more quickly.

Ohh and don't forget when the donation plate comes around this Sunday take some out rather than put some it..it is ok since you sound like you need it.

ps. if all else fails read the Adsense TOS

Sure you can click your own links but a very large lightning bolt will strike you dead if there is a God....

a) it's not allowed

b) it's FRAUD

c) did you read the Google Terms and Conditions when you signed up?

Let's cut thru the chase:

IT'S NOT ALLOWED TO CLICK YOUR OWN ADS, ASK PEOPLE TO CLICK YOUR ADS, JOIN CLICK RINGS AND CLICK EACH OTHERS ADS, OR PUT "CLICK THE ADS" ON THE PAGE!

Now play nice and make money the hard way, honestly.

Folks,

I guess Imagine3 understands this behavior is not OK.
His or her question is not: is it allowed? The question was: will it work?

No, it will not work. Cause Google has ways to determine patterns in clicking behavior. Once you clicked 10 times (maybe more, maybe less) on your own ads from the same computer, Google will know, and they will boot you.

But as the others already made clear, it doesn't matter if it works, it's fraud. It is stealing from Google, and it is stealing from the ones who worked very hard to do it the honest way.

I have a question for you; do you think it is alright to click your own ads? I advise you to think very carefully about your answer...

It is stealing from Google

It's not stealing from Google at all, they are just the middleman that makes money no matter what. Google is like Visa and Mastercard, when you defraud someone with a credit card sale you're defauding the merchant, not Visa or Mastercard. Likewise, click fraud is stealing from the advertiser, not Google.

OMG! I can't believe there are so many posts about ways to go around and click your own ads! This is stupid! First of all it is against TOS, second, honestly, how much are you really gonna make off this? An extra 20-30 cents before google catches on? Why don't you spend the time it takes you to go around clicking your own ads and use it to learn a little SEO, and write some good content and get clicks that why? No one ever got rich with adsense by clicking their own ads.... LOL!

Bill,

I think it is stealing from Google in the long term
cause it will chase away the advertisers and therefore it will hurt Google...

Humble,

It chases away some advertisers directly, but then again it's like credit card fraud in that the merchants just have to put up with it to accept credit cards yet in the long run and Visa/Mastercard, just like Google and Overture, just get fatter and fatter.

Why do so many otherwise sane people answer these posts?

They are either done to yank your chain or because the poster hasnīt read a single post on here or the TOS. Or so you would think. But amazingly they know to post here . . .

imagine3,
what amazes me is that as a newbie, this is the first question that came to your mind. Its also your first post here!
This is a great forum, with tons of nice people willing to help, but you need to make a good start.

Joeking,
I guess we are suckers for abuse LOL

My advice, for what is worth, is to READ. I assume you CAN read since you obviously made a website? of sorts.

So get off your laziness and read the TOS and the T&C. If you don't read them and follow them then I am really going to ENJOY reading YOUR I got banned thread!
