I apologize if my question is too basic, here we go:
I know it is clearly stated that you are not allowed to alter the adsense code. Yet I see people doing it everywhere (even low traffic sites), my question is: I am quite sure removing the border from the 250x250 square would cause an important increase of clicks on my site. Am I likely to get banned for altering the code?
Thank you
K
Just go into adsense then click on the 'Adsense for content' tab at the top of the page...
Good Luck

Consider this case. If I want to change
google_color_border = "FFFFFF"
to
google_color_border = "000066"
I just replaced FFFFFF to 000066 in the code by using the "find and replace" option. I did not bother to go into "AdSense for content" panel to make the change. Did I violate the T&C?
Another tip is not to have too many other things they can click on the page that will divert their attention, there by increasing the chances of them clicking where you want them to click.
One more to consider, if you can place ("728x15_0ads_al") on the topnav where you would normally have Menu options people dont even reliase it's part of an advert, just click it as a menu option. Then they realize they have left your site and may even hit the back button to come back to your site and possible click another adsense add.
Tell me how you go, or if some one else has another idea of how we can all increase our adsense money. (Legally)
OptiRex,
Are you inflating your post count?
Hehehe...if only it were that easy! I reckon my post count is nearer 4,000 however the way it totals seems to depend on the thread and a couple of other factors.
I can relax right now since it's no where near beer time:-)
Yeah. It was long day ( joke :) )
Altering AS code ANYWAY is against TOS.
So - even for COLOR change You should go to your control panel and chenge it there. Copy paste into your code and upload it on your server.
I guess nobody ( let's say 90 % for shure ) never adjusted it that way.
